Gray Squirrels 2017-18: Week 9-Firing the Clay Creations
Even though it took our clay creations a few extra weeks to dry out, we were excited to see if they survived the fire!
The first step was making a thick layer of leaves on the bottom of the fire pan and laying our clay creations on top.
Then we carefully built a fire structure on top, after adding a thick layer of pine needles.
The fire caught!
But how will the clay turn out?
We will have to wait for the fire to cool to dig the clay out of the ashes...stay tuned!
